This is a must have sauce in our fridge, I like to make my own so I know exactly what is in it and we use this sauce all the time for pastas, pizza bases, stews, and stuffed mushrooms/eggplants.
This sauce is very versatile and easy to make and have on hand for if you run out of dinner ideas, add some of this sauce to some steamed chicken and vegetables with wholemeal pasta and you have a quick easy mid week meal.
What you’ll need
1/2 cup tomato paste
1 tin tomatoes or 6 fresh diced tomatoes
8 basil leaves
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 clove garlic
1 tsp black pepper
– Add all ingredients into a saucepan and stir over low heat for 10 minutes
– Blend everything in food processor and keep in jars in the fridge for up to 2 weeks
